Restoration Project Advice
Any advice re restoration of a '67 2000ca?Ok. you asked for it!
What is your definition of "restoration project?" Do you want a "concours" car or a "nice" example? The difference is $$$. Concours will require a complete disassembly of the car, perhaps a sandblasting, paint, parts and labor. Say good-bye to the car for at least 6 months to a year. Perhaps longer if you really want it right.
"Nice" is a lot cheaper.
I saw the car this weekend. It's basically whole, but it needs a lot of work. the seats are worn, the body needs work.
My suggestion is to decide what you want with the car, and decide on a budget. Then talk to Redline to see what they can do to fit your budget.
Mike does excellent body work, and is one of the best painters around.
My best advice is "Don't skimp, and don't try to get something for nothing". If they say it'll be $5000, then pay the $$$. I guarantee, that if you talk them down a few bucks, you will end up paying it all back in spades.
You have a unique car there, my friend. you need to decide what you want, and how much you want to spend.
