The 1998 BMW CS Registry CoupeFest at the Pittsburgh
Vintage Grand Prix. As more information trickles in, we'll
post it here. As usual, click on the thumbnail pictures for

Several photos from the CoupeFest Corral.
|

There were two authentic road-going CSLs in the Corral.
One was Marcus Glarner's immaculate Golf Yellow Batmobile.
The other was a RHD "Street Model."
|

Speaking of Marcus, here is his "other" car, this
beautifully prepared CSL. He and Arthur Porter duked it out
on the track, leading a group of comparatively humble 2002s!
|
Arthur Porter's 3.5CSL. Even standing still, there is a
lot of energy surrounding this monster!
|

Weird things happen to those who wait. At Sunday's close,
the factory folks brought out the factory race cars. Cars
recognized by the factory were there as well. It pays to
hang around!
|
And, of course, the people who made it possible for all
of these fine Coupes to come out and play, Art and Marilyn
Wegweiser, the BMW CS Registry head honchos. Thanks and
kudos for their work, and for the opportunity for this
writer and photographer to be with them.
