Hello Gary:
A few years ago I purchased a pedal that without the slide groove, I do not recall where. It has a little loop at the end that slides over the end of the gas pedal metal bar that works well. It did not cost that much but every once in a while, it will slide off or I will kick it off the bar when staring the car.
Otherwise, if I did not tell anyone it was a modified pedal one would not know.
The Hound "In The Last Colony" and we have ice and snow today.
BTW: I checked Bessie's blanket and she is warm.

Well, now that I have gutted the interior of my coupe in preparation for laying a new rug set, new underlayment, and installing reupholstered seats, I have discovered that probably since I have owned the coupe, the accelerator pedal is broken. That is, the rubber "tube" that mounts the pedal to the arm is separated from the pedal itself. The pedal has been merely sliding up and down the arm - effective, but hardly reliable. Not really fixable, either. So, any of you have an extra pedal you'd part with? It looks as if the E3's have the same pedal, so if you have a "four-door coupe" in the drive..... Let me know. I've sourced new a new pedal - don't ask what I've found. Ouch! Thanks, Gary Burke
