Excuse me, Charlie.
I have '92 Mercedes Benz 300E 4-matic and mine does not need to remove bumper to replace radiator.
She is my daily driver and with my new job, I put about 50miles one way to work. She drives beautifully.
After 10 month of unemployment, I could not refuse the offer, hoping the gas price will stay the same.
I can't believe I have my E9 for about 10 years now. When the weather get nice, I am going to drive mein Liebchen to work to show off. By then, she is asleep in our garage with '70 2000.
Happy New Year to all of you!
Masako

This this shade tree mechanic will not be sorry to see them gone. Potentially dangerous to work on, a hassle with threaded-rod-type spring compressors, wotta humbug. Trouble is, I'll probably never get a bimmer without them...
Screw Mercedes. I've helped an older partially disabled friend work on his four older Benzes. Whatta buncha painful, cramped M-Fers they are. Examples on the MB 190e 2.6 must remove bumper to change radiator. The hassle to get at and replace the belt tensioner... Druther take 'em out on the street and leave 'em to be stolen.
Charlie
