coupe as I have almost run out of items on my "to do" list. My coupe
is a Euro delivery, and thus has blue velour (sp?) seats. The
fabric on the front seats is split and pretty threadbare (I've had
sheepskins on these seats since I acquired the coupe ten years ago). The
rear seats are in good shape, but are a bit sun bleached at the tops and are
also a bit threadbare.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>As my coupe is Chamonix, I am thinking of
converting to an all-black interior. I believe I can dye/paint the door
and kick panels black fairly easily. I'd imagine that dying the carpet is
a straight-forward task, right?So, some questions about what to do with the
seats:</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>1. Get them all recovered in leather or
vinyl? Anyone done this lately? At what possible cost?</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>2. Find a set of fronts and backs in good
shape and recondition them (dye 'em if they are not black). Any one have
such seats for sale?</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>3. Find a set of rear seats (per 2., above)
and then upgrade the fronts with alternatives - say from an E24 or E30
2-door? I have confidence that I can fabricate whatever seat track
accommodations that might be necessary, and, wire whatever accommodations
the electrics might require. Any one swapped out their front seats like
this? If so, what should I be looking for - and at what likely
cost?</FONT></DIV>
