Hey Don,

I pretty much sold all my cars, especially the CSL’s. I still have my 85 M5 (#149/200) and a tii which is for sale. All the CSL race parts left too. You’re right, at one time most of the CSL’s in the US were mine, both BMW NA 3.5 IMSA CSL’s, my favorite and longest held race car, the 1973 LeMans class winner, I had it for almost 25 years. My ex-Motorsport staff CSL with the 450 HP intercooled, twin turbos left also, after 100,000 miles and 31 years of fun. Then there was the very first Motorsport CSL race car ever built, it went to the UK and then the Gr 5 CSL which went to California and may be in New England now, the last I heard. Scotts CSL was the LeMans class winner I owned and raced all over the US and Bahamas for 25 years.

My 3 kids, my son, a soph in college, my oldest daughter, a college freshman and my youngest daughter a HS soph are thankful for my CSL ownership all those 31 + years. And I just entered the medicare crowd. So .... I don’t really do car stuff anymore.

There is still a ton of race and club memorabilia left though. One of these days, I’ll catalog it all, list them in a sales catalog and you’ll hear about it.

What are you up to?
I was hoping YOU were going to be there! Have you sold all your cars?

I must admit that I was there only Saturday morning. I didn't see any tracked while I was there.

In addition to Scott's CSL, the Rahal/Letterman Racing (BMWNA?) rig had the David Hobbs CSL on display with a PTG M3 and other assorted new stuff. I can't keep up with which race CSL's were yours -- weren't they ALL yours at one time or another? ;-)

Don't think this is going to be the Bulldawgs' year.
Weren’t there any on track? I understood that at least 2 of my old CSL’s were supposed to be there with the LeMans winner on track and probably both it and the twin turbo on display somewhere. Sorry about the game. I saw it and felt it was gonna be a good ending with only 1 minute 9 seconds left and LSU 95 yards away from a touchdown. I guess LSU didn’t get to be #4 for nothing. Great game, bad ending.
Just spent a fun few days at the CCA Oktoberfest here in GA. Notable absence of E9's. Seems like there are fewer every time I attend.

I have a set of alpina wheels - 16x7 - ET11 & 16x8 - ET24 rear.

Would any of you know if these should fit with 205/55 R16's on the 3.0cs without any special modifications? I seem to be having trouble with the offset on the front, as the fender rubs. My car has been lowered a bit in the front, as spacers were removed from the shock tower.
Thanks,
